A Note
From the Queen
Dear Subscriber,
Tye, the
kids and I, went on an Alaskan cruise last month. If you haven't
been, it is a must to put on your to-do list. We took the last
cruise of the season. It was a great price.
As we walked up
the stairs to stand in line to get our boarding pass there was a sea
of gray hair. My 17 year old son, Cory, shoulders slumped as he
said, "Where are all the hot chicks?" I told him, "They are already
on board, in their bathing suits, sitting around the pool, thinking
where are all the hot dudes". He didn't buy it.
They did
have a wonderful time, there were only 17 kids on the whole cruise.
They bonded, had fun, and got to do a lot of things that they
wouldn't have been able to do if there were more kids.
If
you're wondering about sad Cory, he did meet a hot chick after all.
Classes
Speaking of classes, I'm not giving a class yet.
Tye
and I are going to a class at the end of this month in Florida. This
doctor has been doing whole food nutritional therapy for the past 20
years and has packaged a way for us to bring whole food nutritional
therapy into our wellness center. Now I don't have to spend years
trying to figure it out myself.
This is what I have been
looking for, a way to easily bringing nutrition into our treatments.
It's fast easy and affordable.
I will keep you up-dated on
every detail.

Hormone Replacement Therapy -
HRT Hormones are biochemical messengers that exert
profound and specific metabolic influences throughout the body. The
endocrine system produces a multitude of hormones that work together
as a synergistic whole, much like an orchestra playing a
symphony.
The endocrine system and the nervous system are the
control systems of the body.
When hormones become unbalanced.
the biochemical symphony plays out of tune. This is the first system
impacted by nutritional unbalance and deficiencies. Nutrients are
needed to make and replace hormones. Metabolic functions performed
by hormones are required to make the hormone and for the hormone to
enter the cell and to stimulate the function of the cell. Nutrients
are required to make the enzyme and release the enzyme to act.
We are made of nutrients and all our physiological functions
require nutrients.
Hormones as metabolic
keys Hormones function like two-ended keys. The R end, or
receptor end, fits precisely into a cell receptor and "unlocks" the
metabolic door to initiate an action. The E end, or enzyme end, fits
precisely with cellular enzymes that transform the hormone into
another hormone, or into a metabolite for excretion.
The problem with synthetic
"hormones" When a synthetic "hormone" enters the cell
receptor, its R end is similar to the real one. But not an exact
fit. Like the wrong key in a lock, this jams the cell receptor or
alters the action initiated. This is known as side
effects.
The synthetic "hormone" does not have the
correct E end, so it cannot be properly cleared from the receptor,
or transformed into other hormones, or properly metabolized and
excreted. This is known
as side effects.
Problems with conventional HRT (hormone
replacement therapy) We ingest drugs, of which we know
little, into our bodies, of which we know less, to cure diseases, of
which we know nothing at all. Voltaire
Premarin is
composed from a pregnant Mare's urine. This horse estrogen is the
most commonly prescribed estrogen in the world. It would be more
appropriate to say estrogen replacement in women is actually about
horse estrogen replacement in humans. It's for horses not for
humans.
The metabolic breakdown products of Premarin are
biologically stronger and more active than our human estrogens.
Various studies have shown that there is an increase in occurrences
of breast in women taking Premarin.
Premarin, like all
conventional HRTs, is prescribed in standard dosages and not
tailored to individual requirements. Consequently, women are often
taking much more "estrogen" than they need.
It takes about
eight weeks to clear Premarin out of the body, which usually puts
women into estrogen dominance. It only takes natural hormones 6-12
hours to be completely metabolized and clear the body.
Symptoms involving estrogen
dominance: Heavy bleeding Clotting, cramping Water
retention, bloating Breast tenderness, lumpiness, cystic breast,
enlarged breasts, fibrocystic breast Weight gain Headaches,
migraines Emotional hypersensitivity Depression, irritably,
anxiety, anger, agitation Decrease sexual response Thyroid
dysfunction (resembling hypothyroidism) Cold hands and
feet Blood sugar instability, sweet
cravings Insomnia Gallbladder dysfunction (coagulated
bile)
Deficiencies
caused by estrogen excess: Zinc Magnesium B
complex vitamins
Problems that may develop with estrogen
excess: Endometriosis Ovarian cysts Cervical
dysphasia Uterine fibroids Infertility Irregular
periods Auto immune disorders Copper excess
(toxicity) Breast cancer Endometrial cancer Uterine
cancer
Important
Note: Estrogen only functions correctly when it is in the
right proportion with progesterone, its primary partner and
synergist. In a cycling woman, these proportions change throughout
the cycle. In menopausal women, the proportions of progesterone to
estrogen remains fairly consistent.

Balancing
hormones with Natural Whole Food Vitamins
What is the
difference between natural and synthetic? Natural is alive and
synthetic is dead. That's a big difference!
On vitamin
labels, the word "natural," has no specific definition other than
anything is natural., toxins are natural. Not good for us, but
natural.
The key word is Whole food vitamins - this means
vitamins as they are found in food. Whole food vitamins are
untampered with, so the molecular structure is not changed, thus the
body recognizes it and knows what to do with it,
naturally.
Natural
means, in there original state they exist as living complexes
with specific synergistic co-factors: enzymes, phytonutrient and
organic mineral-activators, and never as isolated single factors. A
vitamin needs all of its synergists to function.
Synthetic means, that a
chemist attempted to reconstruct the exact structure of the vitamin
molecule by chemically combining molecules from other sources. These
sources are not living foods, but dead chemicals. For example:
Vitamin B1 is made from a coal tar derivative, and d-alpha
tocopherol (so called vitamin E) is a by product of materials used
by the Eastman Kodak company to make film. It is not legally
necessary to give the source from which the synthetic "vitamin" is
derived.
When you eat organic, you give your body whole food
nutrients it can balance by itself by feeding the cells good
nutrients. When the body receives good nutrients it will start
letting go of the toxic ones.
